"It was easy to feel lost on such a large college campus. I would float in and out of social groups, never feeling like I had actually found my people. It was easy to make friends to go out with, but I never knew who to turn to when the pressure of classes or the stressors of college got to me. I realized I missed what I had back home; a sisterhood. I didn't know it at first, but when I walked into my first Informal Tea, I had found my people. Over the past two years, I have turned to my Hermanas for celebrations and hardships. They are compassionate and honest women who keep me motivated to be the best version of myself and I hope to always have these bonds."

As an undergrad, I searched for a sorority that valued the same things I found important. At my first informal tea I fell in love with the ideals of the Sorority and more importantly with the Hermanas. After much searching, I finally found a group of women like me. They were all smart, genuine, and down to earth girls. These women had a full course load, led prominent student groups around campus and knew how to fun-they were me! As an undergrad, I learned how to work in a team, lead a group, and plan and execute large scale events, all skills I use today as a Vice Principal. My most fondest memories include my Hermanas. They have been with me through the different stages of my life. After 12 years, I can say joining the Hermandad is one of the best decisions I've ever made.

At first, I was very skeptical about Greek life and didn't think it was meant for me. However, after attending Lambda chapter events and doing research on this organization, I knew that I found my home away from home. Just from spending time with Hermanas, I could see that they truly valued and upheld their goals and ideals, which were synonymous to my own personal morals. With these women as my Hermanas, I feel the confidence to accomplish anything with the certainty that I have their support. Looking back, I can proudly say that it is because of this sisterhood that I have been able to grow in ways that I didn't know were possible.
